Another video site in beta and produced I gather by Bob Geldof's media business. For a demo it's got a fair selection of material despite the "propaganda" feel. Of more interest may be Geldof's proposed "Peace Channel" set to launch within the next year - probably for the box as well as the web.

A world view of Syria. Nice site with no title that I couldn't automatically link to elsewhere since it only advertises itself as a "Homepage" at Mac.

For the last century or so this remarkable plant has been a "controlled" substance, but this online compendium has a lot to tell about the natural medicine that only seems to make Big Pharma and government social engineers "ill". Hooray for history!

A huge database of free downloadable media

Google is king - we all know that! But sometimes it isn't quite what you want for the job. This piece lists the best alternatives and includes a review of many of them. Useful.

New site looking or participation in mapping the UK in great detail. The idea is to collect phots and maps to provide more intimate information than simply the rooftop view produced by the likes of Google Earth.

A strictly local one here, but for Londoners looking to get down and get with it, this is a good resource.

This is the transcript of last week's Commons debate on Iraq - the first one it's had and also one the Prime Preacher himself refused to attend. Luckily, the bucket was on hand to stand up for government follies. When going to this link don't think I've got it wrong. There's a brief bit on waterways and such before the debate starts around two paragraphs down. It then continues by going to "next section" - the expression "page" not seemingly known in the parliamentary language. Suffer it - you need the information!

The web is full of search engines these days and overkill means most still use Google for simplicity. This site is well worth bookmarking though - it gives you an online multi-engine interface and subject refining in one. The only drawback is it's use of a frameset, although if you're doing a lot of research even that may be an advantage.

Links portal for finding obscure video uploads on the web.

A version of YouTube in Iran. Could make for some interesting cultural insight, even if prone to censorship.
